Product Overview
Where This 24V LED Strip Works Best
This 24V SMD2835 strip is suitable for ceiling coves, hotel rooms, offices, retail stores, display areas and other linear lighting applications. With 120 LEDs per metre on an 8 mm PCB, it provides closely spaced points of light for use in concealed channels or aluminum profiles.
The strip is rated at 12W/m with a listed output of 1176 lm/m. Actual output and operating temperature depend on the selected CCT, CRI, IP treatment, dimming method, installation profile and power supply.
How to Select the Configuration
| Project requirement | Selection guidance |
|---|---|
| Ceiling cove or longer indoor run | 24V is generally more practical than 12V for longer runs, but cable size, feed position and voltage drop must still be calculated. |
| High color-rendering project | Select Ra90 or Ra98 and confirm the actual output because higher CRI configurations may have different efficacy. |
| Dry concealed installation | IP20 may be used where the strip is protected from moisture and dust exposure. |
| Humid or exposed indoor location | Confirm whether the available IP65 treatment is suitable for the exact installation zone and profile. |
| Visible linear light | Use a compatible aluminum profile and diffuser, and check the LED pitch against the profile depth to avoid visible dots. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Can one power supply run a full 10-metre roll?
The power supply capacity, feed position, cable size and acceptable voltage drop must be calculated for the actual installation. Do not select the driver from roll length alone.
Does 24V eliminate voltage drop?
No. It reduces current for the same power compared with 12V, but long runs still require proper cable sizing and feed planning.
Do I need an aluminum profile?
It is recommended for heat dissipation, mechanical protection and a cleaner diffused appearance, especially at 12W/m.
Can Ra98 be specified?
Yes. Confirm CRI together with CCT, output target and sample approval before bulk production.
Can the strip be cut?
Yes. The listed cutting length is 50 mm for the 24V version. Cut only at the marked positions.
For shorter cutting intervals, compare the 12V SMD2835 strip. You can also view all LED strip light categories or send your run length and control requirements to FANSEN Lighting.
