Product Overview
Where This 12V LED Strip Works Best
This 12V SMD2835 strip is suited to cabinets, wardrobes, shelves, wine cabinets, kitchens and other shorter linear-lighting sections. Its 25 mm cutting length gives more flexibility where the strip needs to fit small furniture sections or short profile lengths.
The strip uses 120 LEDs per metre on an 8 mm PCB and is rated at 12W/m with a listed output of 1176 lm/m. Final performance depends on CCT, CRI, IP treatment, dimming method, profile and power supply.
How to Select the Configuration
| Project requirement | Selection guidance |
|---|---|
| Cabinet, shelf or short furniture section | The 25 mm cutting interval helps the strip fit shorter sections with less unused length. |
| Long ceiling cove or extended run | Compare the 24V version, as 12V draws more current for the same power and normally requires more careful feed planning. |
| High color-rendering display | Select Ra90 or Ra98 and verify the real sample under the intended materials and finishes. |
| Dry indoor installation | IP20 may be selected when the strip is protected inside a suitable profile or channel. |
| Humid indoor location | Confirm the exact IP65 construction, connectors, profile and installation zone before ordering. |

Frequently Asked Questions
Why choose 12V instead of 24V?
12V is useful when the project needs a shorter cutting interval or already uses a 12V system. For longer runs, 24V is often easier to manage because the current is lower for the same power.
Can the strip be cut every 25 mm?
Yes, according to the listed specification. Cut only at the marked copper-pad positions.
Do I need an aluminum profile?
It is recommended for heat dissipation, protection and a cleaner diffused appearance, especially at 12W/m.
Can Ra98 be specified?
Yes. Confirm CRI with CCT, output requirement and sample approval before bulk production.
How should I select the power supply?
Calculate the total wattage, add suitable capacity margin and check cable size, feed position, dimming method and voltage drop.
For longer linear runs, compare the 24V SMD2835 strip. You can also view all LED strip light categories or send your dimensions and power requirements to FANSEN Lighting.
